NSW: Howard doesn't rule out Aussies eating cloned US beef

Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD hasn't ruled out Australians eating cloned meat imported from the US.

The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a draft ruling that milk and meat from
some cloned animals are safe to eat.

Australia has a voluntary moratorium on cloned animals and their offspring entering
the food chain .. but the issue is under review.
