VIC: Man in court charged with woman s murder

A 24-year-old man has made a brief appearance in Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with
the stabbing murder of a woman yesterday.

MICHAEL JONES of McKenzie Street, Cheltenham, has been remanded in custody to return to
court on April 20.

JONES is charged with the murder of ROSEMARY LOUISE GALE.

Police said yesterday they found a woman stabbed to death at a house in Sherman Street,
Forest Hill in eastern Melbourne.

JONES was not required to enter a plea.
